散打 Sanda / Sanshou Kung Fu, translated as "free fighting" in Chinese, is a modern combat sports version of Traditional Chinese Martial Arts (Kung Fu) combined with other modern fighting disciplines.
Also known as "Chinese Kickboxing", this full-contact style of martial arts is known for its quick strikes, wrestling takedowns, trips, throws, and leg-catching techniques.
The military system of Sanda even includes grappling and joint locking maneuvers, making it a complete Chinese martial arts system, often described as "踢打摔拿" - kicking, punching, wrestling, and grappling.
